My name is Barbara Graver. I’m an autistic blogger, podcaster and paranormal fiction writer. I’m currently editing my first vampire novella and hope to start on the rewrites for vampire novella 2 very soon.
I blog at Writing On The Spectrum and have a brand new podcast called the Autistic POV. I also cross post some stuff to Substack and have an older metaphysical blog (The Mystic Review) that I update occasionally.
I live in a small mountainside town in NE Pennsylvania with my three grownup sons and a wild but lovely border collie named Luna.
I enjoy reading, writing, walking, spending time with my family, libraries, state parks, designing things, buying books, collecting vintage religious items, learning about autism and parapsychology, and playing pool.
In addition to my writing and media, I design bookish and Catholic printables for my Etsy shop, Blackwood Abbey.
I have a BS in nursing from Misericordia University and went back to school in the late nineties to study graphic design at our local community college. I’m currently studying parapsychology at the Rhine Education Center.
I belong to the American Holistic Nurses Assocation, the Catholic Writers Guild, the Rhine Research Center, the Society for Psychical Research, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church.
I have worked as a registered nurse, cocktail waitress, carnival concessionaire, paranormal investigator, professional card reader, and graphic designer at our local newspaper. I returned to the Faith several years ago and no longer read cards but am thinking of returning to paranormal investigation.
