I’ll admit it. When I dropped out of the New Age and started this blog I didn’t know where I was going with it.
I knew I wanted to share my journey as Born Again Christian transitioning away from the occult influences of the New Age. I hoped that such information might be of help to others. And I knew it would be of help for me.
Focus has always been an issue for me. For a long time I thought that the New Age was perfect for that because I could jump from topic to topic without ever really finishing anything. But the truth was, it only made this tendency worse.
Now I get up every morning and read the Bible, do my daily S.O.A.P. note and pray. And I pray again before bed too. Anything goes in between but the most important thing is that I have actually developed the first solid spiritual routine I’ve ever had. Praise God!
Having said that the in between parts need some tweaking.
Balance has always been an issue for me. I tend to enthusiastically charge after new things and let the older necessary things slide. So I’ve decided to cut back a bit on the exciting new things I’m doing. This includes New Age to Christian blogging, podcasting and youtube.
From now on, I’ll be posting here once a week. On a monthly basis I’ll be sharing one video, one podcast and two written articles. In other words, I’ll be doing one Bible Journal post a month, one in depth New Age to Christian article, one Scripture Sunday Podcast and one YouTube video.
While I won’t be doing a weekly Scripture Sunday podcast, I will share a Scripture Sunday verse or passage every Sunday on social. From time to time of course I’ll do other shorter posts here like I have this week, as well.
I remain committed to what I think of as a personal Christian media outreach aimed at anyone leaving the New Age or the occult for a new life in Christ. I believe, in fact, that I owe it to God and to myself and to all of you to do this. But I need to balance everything out.
A rabbi told me something once that seems relevent. I think about my life as pie chart, he said. Whenever I add or enlarge one area I have to take away from something else.
To me that makes a lot of sense and I hope that the new New Age to Christian blog format will work for everyone!
