Are Crystals Evil? (video)

January 13, 2022

Crystals in the Occult

In this video I talk about the common perception of crystals as a harmless or even silly superstition and why this is simply not the case.

While I don’t feel I presented this information as clearly as I should have, the main points I touched on include:

  1. The connection between New Age ideas about the “power” of crystals and witchcraft.
  2. The natural absence of true supernatural properties within inanimate objects.
  3. Blessed objects and cursed objects.
  4.  How crystals are used in spellcasting and ceremonial magic.
  5. The practice of magic and how our ancestors had a better handle on this than we do.
  6. My own personal experience of the demonic facilitated by a crystal grid.

One of the things I was least clear on when I talked about the idea of their being a charge or “energy” in inanimate objects. The is very popular occult principle in modern witchcraft and one that is often used in making the case the Wicca is a natural, nature based faith.

But the truth is that this is a very old occult principle know as animism. And it is false. While we may sense something of God, when we enter into his natural creation (a deep woods or aa beautiful sunset), there is no inherent spiritual power in nature itself.

What I did not explain well, is that while there is no natural spiritual power in a rock or in a waterfall, these things can take on a spiritual charge. Ideally, this come through something being blessed (Holy Water, the pool at Lourdes, various sacramentals). But it can also happen in a dark and corrupt way through a curse.

Objects such as crystals, occult books, tarot cards and other items are often cursed. This can be done deliberately or by simply association with the demonic. Often, the people who use these objects are not aware (as I was not) that their spirit guides and angels are demonic, so they may be completely unaware that they are cursed.

At other times, the curse is deliberate.

I hope this clears up the confused babble in the video!

The Origin of Our Confusion

I think that one of the reasons I struggled to present this content like this in a clear and coherent way is because anything to do with demons is, almost by definition. confusing.  Satan is the author of confusion. This, coupled with the fact that we are not as intelligent as we imagine can make sharing info on the topic of the occult a challenge.

Everything about the occult is obscure, secret, confusing or deceptive by design!

The occult has become SO mainstream, however, its important to try to make people aware of the fact that evil is what lies beneath the veneer.  Even if it can be challenging.  To make it a bit less challenging, I will probably being doing more audio-only podcasts than video podcasts going forward. Though I will still keep posting the audio to YouTube.

I don’t do a lot of editing in the audio-only content but I can cut parts that are obviously garbled and clean things up a bit. If you want to listen to the audio version of this content please click on on the player below:

An FYI on the podcast: I recently changed the name of the podcast to the Paranormal Review because I have been reviewing a lot of paranormal media lately and felt called to review more. I will also still be talking about paranormal and occult influence in popular culture, however, because the topics do absolutely overlap.

2. The escape and Flight into Egypt. (Matthew 2:13)

3. The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple of Jerusalem (Luke 2:43–45)

4. The Meeting of Mary and Jesus on the Via Dolorosa.

5. The Crucifixion of Jesus on Mount Calvary. (John 19:25)

6. The Piercing of the Side of Jesus, and His Descent from the Cross. (Matthew 27:57–59)

7. The Burial of Jesus by Joseph of Arimathea. (John 19:40–42)

Not only do we get to unite our sufferings and sorrows to Our Lady of Sorrows, we are also promised 7 Graces:

According to St Bridget of Sweden (1303-1373), there are Seven Graces of this devotion.

1. I will grant peace to their families.

2. I will be enlightened about the Divine mysteries.

3. I will console them in their pains, and I will accompany them in their work.

4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.

5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy, and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.

6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.

7. I have obtained this Grace from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.
